Well, hello there old friends!
It's been a long time!
How long has it been exactly??
How long has it been exactly??
On April 24th, it had been one whole year since my last blog post!
That is shamefully long, I know...
How in the world have all of you been?
I hope you are all doing well!
Let's see, the last blog post that I wrote was on
Overnight Oats
I hope you gave that recipe a try!
I myself have made Overnight Oats several times this past year. :)
The trouble with going so long in between blog posts is that there's just so much that has happened that as a Blogger, you really don't even know where to start!
Well, I thought about it and I decided to just walk you through what went on with us during this looooooooooong blogging pause and sort of catch you up through posting pictures of our year in review!
Doing this reminds me of those old slide projectors that our parents and grandparents have that they like to get out and show of old vacations and things whenever your family gets together!
You know, the ones that project on the wall?
Speaking of those "slide shows"...
Here's one that I'm sure is in my Mama's projector slides...
This would be around 1972, I'm guessing.
My Daddy, Me and My Mama

I think our Avery and my Daddy look alike in this picture.
Are you ready??
:)
If so, grab a snack, get comfortable and enjoy the post!
Let's go all the way back to
May 2017...
We were working in Ohio and Austin was still a senior in high school.
It was our last year of home schooling and because of that, we decided to take a couple of days and do some fun things with Austin before he left home, so we drove over to the New York and Canada border and visited Niagara Falls!
Wow!!
It was well worth the trip and such a testimony to our God's handiwork...
We had a wonderful time and got very, very wet!! :)
Before we knew it, it was time to finish up our last minute schooling and we prepared to celebrate our very last
Home School Graduation.
How in the world did we get there so quickly???
Just a few days later, it was June!
We began attending wedding showers for Austin and Lea.
They were so blessed to have such sweet friends and family shower them with gifts and well wishes before their big day!

July 22, 2017
Austin and Lea started their forever and we gained another daughter.
Welcome to our family Sweet Lea!!
That was it...
Our last little birdie had flown from the nest,
but who had time to let that sink it???
Not us!
August was here and we had a trip to plan with Avery and Jamie!
We were going to
ALASKA!!!
Words can not describe Alaska!
The beauty is
UNBELIEVABLE!!
September was here and we are all getting ready for the arrival of our precious grandbaby!!!!
You guessed it...
MORE SHOWERS!!
~ <3 ~
We waited and waited and waited and waited...
And then, it FINALLY happened!!!
On October 17, 2017
At 5:19 a.m.
JUDE KASON BERGER
was born into our lives!
My heart basically exploded...
~ <3 ~
I am so thankful to God for our beautiful, healthy grandson!
To say we are in love is an understatement for sure!
From that moment on, we refer to everything as
"Jude's First..."
So, November and December would mark
"Jude's First Thanksgiving"
and
"Jude's First Christmas"
Here are a few highlights of the holidays...
Jude had Christmas in Georgia and in Alabama.
He went to Grandmama and Grandaddy's House
and
Mimi and Papaw's House
I was able to celebrate Christmas with Jude, but Anthony, aka Pawpaw, was working the storm damages in Puerto Rico and wasn't able to be with us.
I got my last hugs from Jude
and on Christmas morning, I got on a plane and headed to Puerto Rico to meet Anthony for Christmas!
Merry Christmas from Puerto Rico
2017
~ <3 ~
Again...
How can anyone not believe in God???
WOW!!
He has created such a beautiful world!
Anthony worked in Puerto Rico for 43 days!
I was only there for 23.
We missed our kids, our family, our church family and friends, but nothing could compare to how much we missed our little Jude!
Finally, we were back with our precious angel!
Like I said before...
to say we are in love is an understatement for sure!!
We thought long and hard about where we were in our lives and where we wanted to be and after much prayer and thought,
we made the decision
to move closer to our family!
This would put us about 3 hours closer to Avery and Jamie and a mere 20 minutes from Austin and Lea, Ashley and Ricky
and
last but not least...
JUDE!
It was bitter sweet when we said our goodbyes to our precious church family at the
Ironaton church of Christ
They gave us a going away dinner and a beautiful quilt to remember them by!
There is no where like Ironaton!
We were members here for over 7 years!
We will miss y'all forever!
~ <3 ~
After many goodbye tears and lots and lots of packing,
In March of
2018
We purchased
Our Forever Home
It's in the country!
I have chickens again!!
We have hammered, sawed, sanded, painted and remodeled for weeks and weeks!
We've worked and worked to make our home our very own!
We still have lots to do, but we absolutely
LOVE
our farmhouse!!
We especially love that on any random day, we can see Jude!
We can watch him grow and explore the world around him and hopefully there's years of this to come!
We are so thankful to God for this blessing!
~ <3 ~
And now, here we are at May again and we are back on the road, working storms.
Just guess where we are now????
Of all places...
We are right back in,
Canada
just like we were a year ago!!
~ <3 ~
I know this was a lengthy post and I crammed a whole year into it and if you stayed with it and read the whole thing,
Bless Your Heart!
<3
It sure feels nice to be writing again
and
hopefully
it won't be a year before I blog again!
I hope you all have a beautiful day!
